The language courses use a holistic approach to the topics communication and language acquisition, which has been inspired by the Linguistic Psychodramaturgy (M. and B. Dufeu) and various forms of theatre.
The concern:
- Communication and self-expression in the new language from the very beginning.
The Procedure:
- Not a book is the starting point, but the texts are created during the lessons and express current needs and interests of the participants.
- Movement, facial expression and gestures are lively parts of communication.
- Exercises from drama lessons, adapted to the situation of learning a language, challenge the student to be present, to position himself, and to act.
- Communication, opening-up, and interaction within the group support the process of language acquisition and make it exciting.
- There is a movement from grammar-lessons to self- experience.
The results:
- On a linguistic level: authentic expression, natural flow in speaking.
- On the level of personal development: an expansion of learning possibilities,
holistic use of the human potential.- On a social level: openness towards others, towards different cultural habits and also towards the new language.
The target groups:
- Everyone, who wants to learn a language through practical experience and action-oriented exercises .
- Everyone, who wants to encounter language through the senses; who wants to let language “melt in his mouth,” enjoy it as a “culinary pleasure” and as a “treat for the ears.”
- Everyone, who wants a varied, creative and playful learning process.
- Everyone, who wants to learn with curiosity, with excitement and fun.
- Beginners and advanced students.
The ambience/environment:
An environment is created in which participants can let go of expectations derived from school experiences and then delve into a new approach to learning, which encourages them, not only to let go, but also to jump into a new experience.
